Sam Bracken battled homelessness, poverty, and abuse to successfully earn a full-ride football scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology. Sam asked us to help brand his memoirs and road map to personal transformation and ‘My Orange Duffel Bag’ was born. Sam shares his story as well as everything he’s learned about overcoming the odds and radically changing his life so others can create positive, lasting change of their own. A book, website, and foundation have all been created in hopes of guiding others on their own paths to radical change.

To build buzz for the upcoming book; we created a trailer for My Orange Duffel Bag. Sam’s ultimate desire was for it to tease viewers with the same intensity and artistic value that the book was expected to have. A custom music track fused with distressed graphics and piercing, poetic words from the book all helped to establish a real emotional connection with Sam’s journey; while YouTube, Facebook, and other social media outlets garnered plenty of positive interest from current and future stakeholders.
When Sam Bracken left his abusive life for a new one, everything he owned fit in an orange duffel bag. Ultimately, this symbol of transformation became the inspiration behind the cover for his book. Just like his original duffel bag; orange canvas with a white zippered exterior helped build intrigue about what lay inside. The illustrated memoir and road map to personal transformation tells Sam’s harrowing story and personal journey from an abusive childhood to the successful life he leads today. It houses three distinct sections; artistic, narrative, and Sam’s 7 Rules for the Road. The organic design gives readers inspiration, motivation, and the tools to realize their potential and achieve their dreams.
This very organic and human portrayal serves to inspire the thousands who see themselves in Sam's darkest shadows, lifting them up with a powerful and renewed sense of self and hope.
