Internationally successful companies and organizations know the value of creating an emotional connection with their employees and stakeholders. This Crown Corporation is the fifth largest employer in the country, which means its workforce is of utmost importance. Canada Post challenged us to imagine an environment for its Winnipeg Smith Street Head Office – one that would inspire its employees and raise corporate morale.
Our result incorporated big brand architecture and interior design to create spaces with flowing texture, shape, colour and imagery representing the expanse of our great country and its long history and dedication of helping bring people together.

Following a mandate set out by then President and CEO, Moya Greene, aimed at ensuring the new Canada Post be transformed into a fully re-energized service provider, we developed a themed brandscape affecting public lobby spaces and employee lounge areas that would reflect not only the spirit of the new modern post, but pay equal homage to the glowing achievements of an enterprising past.

Display pays homage to the meeting of the Red and the Assiniboine Rivers as principal catalysts for the settlement of Winnipeg, as one of Canada’s premier cities and mail delivery hubs. Display materials used were native to the region, including tyndall stone and copper. Further, waterway visuals were created using dynamic coloured acrylics.
Heritage Photo Mantage
When Canada Post created a new Postal Distribution Centre adjacent to Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport, they called us to create a second phase themed workspace environment to build enthusiasm, reinforce corporate values, and buttress up company-wide morale.
A 155 foot long historic feature wall display spanning 35 glass mounted story frames and an eclectic photo gallery archive capturing the company’s treasured past. From one end, the walkway takes observers and employees through the early stages of corporation inception and spirited pioneering, while through the middle frames and beyond, key benchmarks in the organization’s evolving history are marked and captured for posterity and reflection.
